Youth Theater Program

The Birdcage Youth Theatre Program is a local, non-profit community theater education program dedicated to delivering quality live youth theater performances, presented and performed by young people from our own community. We not only provide a valuable outlet to enjoy and participate in live theater and performing arts events in the community, but offer the chance for participating youth to obtain an education in acting, directing, set design, stage management, light/sound tech. While participants themselves do not qualify to become members of the theatre, their parents can choose to fill out a membership application and become volunteers as well!

Classes will run for 10 weeks starting Oct 1 through Dec 11, with performance dates running Dec 12-14.

Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm-8pm.

After a successful summer camp program, many parents have expressed interest in our upcoming fall semester program, but due to our economy, many do not have the funds to pay for such a program and we would like to make this program inclusive to all kids in the Oroville community, thus our program will now be a pay what you can program.

Whatever the amount, your donation will help to keep theatre education available to all children in the Oroville area. Donations can be made in person at any time during the course of the semester. For donating other ways, please contact the Birdcage Theatre at 530.282.5603
